Dear students,
As the end of summer vacation nears and a new school year approaches, many changes arrive. It's a big transition for YOU, my 4F students, to go back to school. From summer free time and play-outdoors time, a new school year puts an end to late bedtimes and no homework. Now you have to wake up early and bring home books. It's time for you to say goodbye to summer — and hello to a new school year. So.....
Slowly change your routines. Check when the school day starts and ends. Calculate how much time you'll need to get ready before getting out the door.
Use positive attitude. Going back to school after two months of summer holidays is actually a happy time. You can see your friends again, do after-school activities and learn new knowledge. This is really fun!
Establish a good attitude. It is a chance for you to make new friends and succeed in new subjects. I am sure you can have a successful and happy year and that you will do all you can to make that happen.

ReplyDeleteHello, I am happy to be one member of 4F and become your student. I believe my F.4 school-life will be better than last year. My friends and I are not bored in when we join the summer courses of school .We have course from Monday to Friday .As a result, we have about 20 free days for our holiday. I have spent some days with my family but the days left make me boring .So ,go to school is to extricate me. I can see my friends again, play together and I will not feel bored.
I hope I can make new friends and learn new knowledge and do my best this year –my F4 school-life. Thanks for reading, Bye Bye.

ReplyDeleteNice to meet you!There is a situation which i think it is fun: two months before our 3E students were writing a letter to our class teacher since the end of the year; Two months later , everything changes, we are writing letters , but to our new class teacher. Maybe letters are good to communicate with each other.
Well, before the 'start of something new', i was estimating what would happen , who would teach us etc, things about future. Today i do know a little thing about it, however still the future is just like the hole universe-unknown!!Since this year is the first year of the NSS, so no one knows what would happen...Also it rellay changes a lot: Two exams have been minimished into one, also Liberal Studies is added as a core subject, we can choose 2 other subjects which are not from the same category... Actually it is quite horrible to all the hong kong secondary students. Although the exam makes us easier to get into universities to study, the future is unpredictable, just like walking on thin ice-dangerous.No one would expect that Michael Jackson would be dead, well at last , you know. So we must be optimistic, to overcome the challenges.
I'm sorry that i was working so slow. I hope you don't mind.I hope that all the 4F students will have a happy life of F.4, and have fun while learning.

Being honest, I was quiet tired after the summer holidays, especially after "enjoying" the rising the curtain of the school day, I nearly want to go back home and lie on my lovely sofa for whole day.
ReplyDeleteHowever, a teacher woke me up! With an activity that translating the Chinese announcements into English. It was really exciting and it make me embarked to take part in the class finally.
I has also never met a teacher who would write the letter to students but has no idea who the students are. I was very strange and complicated.
This is what I think after the class and I was very curious on what will happen tomorrow.

With your good sense of humour, I have my first class happily. Listening to my classmates called by you and have to translate some chinese into english, I found that my english is very poor!

I have a very complicated feeling as I move up to F.4.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I am happy that I can get into 4F. A lot of boys are here. It is interesting to study with so many boys. I have such feelings because I have been studying with a lot of girls from F.1 to F.3. Moreover, I do not need to study history, aditional english, home economics and so on.
However, it is nervous for me that I am going to have to face a lot of new challenges. I will have to study in a new educational system. In adition, there will be a lot of new teachers, classmates... Moreover, the subjects I will have to study might be very difficult. I am afraid that I cannot cope with them.
This is the fourth year that I study in Wong Siu Ching. That means I have already passed half of my secondary scholl life. It is miserable fr me to think of that. I am also depressed that I will have to face a big examination 3 years later. I really do not know how to deal with it.
Nevertheless, I will try my best in this 3 years. Michael Jordon said, "I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying. " Therefore, I will try and do as much as I can in the coming 3 years.
Finally, I hope the teachers would be nice to us after all.

I think it is good to be in class 4F, because I have a lot of friends in this class.So, I think that I will be happy in the coming 3 years.

Although i have comment before, tonight is a wonderful day, i couldn't control myself that i have to comment again.
Our chinese teacher is ms Tse , the same surname as me , is a very open teacher. She is very funny too. She wants us to get into a world of words, maybe just chinese word actually . However, she makes us laugh in the whole lesson. That's pretty good.
My physics teacher is mr Wan. He is a funny person. He told us about his secondary school and introduce his friends to us. I think he is such a genius and i now makes him to be my idol.

When you called someone to do translation yesterday, I felt anxious. I don’t think I can do it well and I don’t know what would happen if I do it badly.
Going back to school after the summer holiday, I think homework would be the biggest problem for me. I am lazy at home and this year, we need to spend more time on studying. So distributing time on studying and homework is a difficult challenge. I hope I can do it and have a nice result.

Ms Lee,nice to meet you!Although we are not knowing each very much,also,We may have not taken any lesson with you,I hapo that we will have a good time in years.
This year is the first year of the NSS,I know that not only students scared by it,teachers too.Yet,we cannot just frightened by the NSS and do nothing,we should work harder.Running away cannot help to slove problems,students and teachers should facing problems together.
In future,we are going to do a lot of assessment of subjects.If only students do it by themselves is not enough,so I hope teachers can give a hand for them to handle assessments.
I hope we will have a great time in 4F in future which will never forget 5 years later,10 years later or longer.Thank you!

It is because that I need to do my summer assignment(very sorry), practise my piano for tomorrow's Grade 7 exam, and also I forgot what is the URL of your blog. That's why I came here so "early".
In this summer holiday, I am not just being a lazy bone or a couch potato, I went to school every weeks for the M2 lessons and the St.John's meeting.I also went to learn how to make mocktail(NOT cocktail) as I think more ability I have, easier to live in this society.

Being a F.4 student, that means no more history, HE and DT lessons, but what coming up is a new education system. We study on subjects that we've chosen and more works to do.I hope I can quickly accept the new studying way and different kind of works.
ReplyDeleteAs in class 4F, a lot of boys in this class is one of the things I feel very different from before, it's usually girls more than boys but not happen here now.
Not knowing what kind of teacher are you, I was a bit nervous before, and this fear disappeared after the first day of F.4 school life.
Sorry for being late because my home is fixing up in the past two weeks and I can't use computer for weeks and I've now set up the net work and give a comment to you.
